Company Description: Axis Satellite and Home Theater is a Florida-licensed, low-voltage contractor, DIRECTV and DISH Network retailer, and audio and video distribution expert. We specialize in installing DIRECTV on multiple verticals, including: Residential, Commercial, L&I, and MDU. We also install DISH Network, hang televisions, install speakers, and integrate audio and video.

Axis Satellite and Home Theater has been in business since 2003, based out of our home office in Fort Myers, Florida. We are actively growing and looking to bring on new talent as we expand our footprint.

Title : Outside Sales Representative

Purpose : As our Outside Sales Representative, you will be prospecting and generating new commercial business, especially in the areas of commercial and hospitality. This position requires cold calling on commercial accounts in the field to generate new permanent sales. The hours and level of responsibility may vary by location or line of business.

Responsibilities :

  • Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business
  • Complete scheduled and cold call prospecting activities to establish first and follow up appointments with customer decision makers
  • Develop strong business relationships with customers and provide a solid understanding of their needs
  • Work with and visit construction sites to develop relationships with construction and development companies
  • Continue to develop relationships with existing customers to leverage our company presence and extend knowledge of what Axis can do within Southwest Florida and beyond
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations, and follow up with key decision makers
  • Determine and propose customer solutions that support customer needs and budget
  • Regularly meet with the Vice President to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers
  • Meet or exceed new business sales goals
  • Other duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field; or equivalent proven sales experience
  • Minimum 2 years outside business-to-business sales with DirecTV in at least two of our four verticals with a proven track record of success
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of DIRECTV and Dish Network Business Solutions for Retail, Lodging, Bars, Restaurants, Multi-Family Dwellings, Offices, Hospitals, Assisted Living, and RV Parks
  • Knowledgeable about our products with the ability to assess current properties, identify customer desires, and transfer needed information to ensure a smooth hand-off to the support team
  • Experience negotiating ROE
  • Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies
  • Previous cold calling experience
  • Knowledgeable with applicable contract laws
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills for both presenting and building customer report
  • Must be organized with good time management skills
  • Possess proven analytical/problem solving solutions for the customer and the company
  • Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications
  • Possess strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals
  • Valid driver license
  • Must have reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field
  • 5 years sales experience in commercial and hospitality
